Big news!

Borigo joins wicomico

My name is Martin, and I'm the CEO at Wicomico.
I have some exciting news to share with you. We’ve acquired Borigo, the leading platform for neighbour communities in Denmark. Borigo has 10 years of experience in the field of software for co-living. But more importantly, we see Borigo as a kind of soul-mate: From our very first meeting there was a connection based on a respect for users and privacy, their data, and an ethical way of building community tools that really empower people.

So, what does this mean for you?
All good things! If you’re using Borigo it means that you’ll now be serviced by a bigger team. Borigo as you know it will continue just like before. Down the line, we’ll work on merging the two platforms, in order to develop, test, and deploy new features in a faster, smarter way.

Our number one goal has been (and will always be) helping you love where you live by providing a secure, clever platform for engagement, communication, and community building.

Thank you for your continued support of Borigo and Wicomico. It means the world to me and the rest of the team. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with me directly.

A few questions:

How does this affect my Borigo subscription?
Borigo will stay the same for the foreseeable future. Your subscription will remain the same. The only thing that changes is the legal entity (now Wicomico) responsible for your Terms of Service, DPA, and privacy policy. Nothing else will be changed.

What about pricing?
We’re honouring current subscriptions, and are excited to share our subscription plans with you soon.

Will any of your policies change?
No. Only the legal entity responsible for the Borigo platform and your data. We will remain true to the core of Borigo: simplicity, friendly support, and a commitment to a high quality product for our users.

Why we're making wicomico

The future is community
We want to live differently. Closer - more connected. We want to know our neighbours, and help each other. We want less loneliness, stress, depression. More support, empathy and balance. And we think community can help us achieve this.
The future is shared
We believe in a future where we all have a higher quality of life with a smaller environmental and financial footprint. We're going to be more people in less space. We want to organise ourselves and the things we own in a smarter way, and share what we have.
The future is yours
Your data should be yours. We think there's a paradigm shift happening in tech. It used to be normal that you paid with your data and privacy, but reality has shown us that this doesn't result in fruitful platforms. We're leaving the attention economy behind, and protecting your privacy.
